About Tranzliquid

Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence

Tranzliquid is proud to celebrate 25 years of service in the New Zealand fuel logistics industry. What began as a small, hardworking operation has grown into a trusted nationwide provider — built on experience, strong values and a commitment to doing the job right.

Tranzliquid remains proudly family-owned and operated. Greg and Jackie remain closely involved in the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring that the company’s culture, standards, and values continue to guide every decision.

As the business evolves, Tranzliquid remains focused on building long-term partnerships with clients who share the same commitment to professionalism, safety and dependable service.

Greg Pert began his career as an owner-operator, working with Freightways Bulk Services and later on OD contracts with major oil and chemical industry companies. His background in bulk hazardous goods and tanker operations led to opportunities in New Zealand’s fuel sector — and ultimately, the formation of Tranzliquid. What began as a small fleet has grown into a trusted fuel logistics and cartage service provider, operating nationwide.

Jackie Carroll began her career in safety and compliance as a Dangerous Goods inspector, later joining a multinational distribution safety team responsible for conducting audits across the Asia Pacific region. She went on to advise companies on safety management programmes and brought this expertise into building Tranzliquid’s management systems from the ground up.

A welcome to the family

Today, after 25 years’ service to New Zealand’s fuel industry logistics under Pert family ownership, we’re announcing an ownership change for TLL. We are proud to welcome Jimmy and the Ormsby family who have invested in a shareholding in Tranzliquid

Like us, the Ormsby family has been in the industry for a long time. They know our business well, share the same values of integrity, hard work and a growth mindset. Today’s announcement is a natural progression of that long-standing relationship. Their backing supports Tranzliquid's growth, including new contracts and a larger team through 2027 and our ability to keep investing in the safe, reliable service our customers rely on.

We're thrilled they’ve come on board! It will be business as usual at Tranzliquid and we can't wait for a stellar 2027!

Thought Leadership & Case Studies

At Tranzliquid, we don’t just deliver fuel — we contribute to the bigger conversation about how freight and infrastructure can better serve New Zealand’s economy. Our insights are shared through industry forums, opinion pieces, and case studies that highlight the challenges, opportunities, and solutions shaping our sector.

Opinion – A Call for Improved Roading Infrastructure

State Highway 29 is the critical freight link between the Port of Tauranga and the rest of the North Island — but decades‑long upgrade timelines threaten New Zealand’s economic efficiency. Greg Pert, Tranzliquid’s Owner/Director, calls for urgent investment to modernise SH29, creating a dedicated freight corridor that can keep goods moving, reduce congestion, and strengthen national productivity.

Case Study – SH29: A Vital Freight Corridor

State Highway 29 is the main freight link between the Port of Tauranga and the rest of the North Island — but it’s struggling under growing demand. Congestion, safety concerns, and outdated infrastructure are slowing freight movement and impacting the economy. Tranzliquid is advocating for urgent investment in SH29 to create a modern, efficient freight corridor that will support New Zealand’s economic growth.
