The success of Tranzliquid comes down to the calibre of our operators. Each one brings a strong mix of skill, experience, customer service and professionalism to the role. All of our operators are trained to meet New Zealand Petroleum Industry standards and are known for being reliable, competent and safety-focused. Our training programme also includes the EECA Safe and Fuel-Efficient Driver (SAFED) course to further support best practices on the road.
Tranzliquid’s team is multi-functional, with operators qualified to load at oil industry terminals across New Zealand for a wide range of service providers and fuel companies.
Given the nature of our work, confidentiality is a top priority. Our operators understand the importance of discretion and consistently meet the highest standards of client privacy and professional conduct.
We’re always on the lookout for skilled, reliable operators who take pride in doing the job right. If you're safety-focused, committed to great service, and want to be part of a supportive, experienced team, we’d love to hear from you.

Jodie has been part of the Tranzliquid team for five years, supporting the business with data entry, invoicing, and a wide range of day-to-day administrative tasks. She plays an important behind-the-scenes role, making sure key information is recorded accurately and processes run smoothly.
Her background in transport runs deep — growing up in a family-owned transport company gave her early exposure to the industry and shaped her understanding of how things get done.
What Jodie values most about her role is the flexibility, the variety, and the people she works with.

With over three decades in the transport industry, Nigel brings deep experience and calm under pressure to one of Tranzliquid’s most time-sensitive operational roles. After 18 years with his first employer and a stint running his own trucking business as an Owner Driver, he joined Tranzliquid in 2021, quickly becoming a key part of the logistics team.
Nigel manages day-to-day dispatch for Tranzliquid’s bitumen and container operations. Using the ICOS Live platform, he receives customer orders, inputs scheduling data, and allocates jobs to the appropriate vehicles, ensuring each load is matched to the correct trailer and delivered on time. He also coordinates the container fleet, juggling multiple delivery timelines between customers and port operations.
Known for his reliability and precision, Nigel thrives in the fast-paced and constantly changing environment. Every load is different, and he works hard to maintain a high standard of delivery, ensuring it is on time and in full.
Fun fact: Nigel once coordinated loads for The Lord of the Rings film production — a small claim to fame in a career built on consistency.

Zach joined Tranzliquid nearly three years ago, bringing over six years of logistics experience and a mindset that there’s always more to learn. His career began on the ground, literally, as a forklift driver, before transitioning into inventory management and scheduling. He worked his way up to become Logistics Supervisor at Holcim Cement, took a short break, dabbled in general freight with Cardinal Logistics, and was later called back to Holcim to oversee logistics operations.
At Tranzliquid, Zach plays a key role in keeping daily operations on track. He focuses on ensuring that customers are well taken care of, the team is where they need to be, and, most importantly, that everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.
What Zach enjoys most is the unpredictability. No two days are the same, and every challenge is a chance to sharpen his skills.
“There’s always something new to deal with — and that’s what keeps it interesting.”

Shane has been with Tranzliquid for over 13 years and has spent most of his career in logistics, with a total of around 25 years, including 18 years focused on fuel. He’s been involved in just about every kind of dispatch scenario you can imagine, from routine daily runs to projects that looked near-impossible on paper.
Day-to-day, Shane oversees dispatch and ensures the logistics operation runs smoothly. A big part of his role is resource forecasting, making sure the team is always one step ahead of customer demand. Whether it’s shifting schedules, coordinating people and vehicles, or adapting to the unexpected, Shane’s always got an eye on the moving parts.
He’s proud of the work Tranzliquid has pulled off over the years, especially the bunker jobs that started out looking like long shots but came together thanks to solid planning and a team that knows how to get things done. One recent example was coordinating all fuel movements to Whirinaki Power Station during the 2024 power shortage. As Shane puts it, “It felt like a high-stakes game of Tetris or Jenga — constantly shifting trucks, tight timing, and last-minute changes that had to slot perfectly into place.”
His interest in transport started early — riding along with his dad delivering chemicals in the days before health and safety had really kicked in. “Back then, you just jumped in the cab. These days, you’d need hi-vis, a permit, and probably a signed affidavit.” That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in how things move — and today, he’s managing the very type of work he used to watch from the passenger seat.

Steve has been with Tranzliquid for five years, supporting the fleet team with the coordination and administration of maintenance schedules, compliance systems, and related data management.
He plays a key behind-the-scenes role in keeping things running smoothly, from fleet records and servicing timelines to system updates and support for operational planning.
Steve values the down-to-earth culture at Tranzliquid and the trust placed in him to manage his work independently.

With nearly two decades of experience in the transport and logistics industry, including 11 years at Tranzliquid, Josh brings deep, hands-on expertise to managing the company’s fleet. He is responsible for servicing, maintaining, and scheduling repairs of all TLL vehicles, as well as overseeing the integration of new assets into the fleet to meet Tranzliquid’s operational standards.
Josh thrives on the variety that each day brings, whether it’s coordinating repair timelines, managing suppliers, or navigating unexpected challenges that come with running a high-performing fleet. He plays a key role in ensuring TLL vehicles stay reliable, compliant, and aligned with the professional image the business is known for.
For Josh, being part of a team that’s led from the front—and not pushed from behind—is what sets Tranzliquid apart.

Mandy has been part of the Tranzliquid team for over a decade, but her connection to the transport industry runs far deeper — it’s been part of her life from the start. With hands-on experience across almost every aspect of the business, from driving and dispatch to accounts, payroll, and management, Mandy is the definition of an all-rounder.
These days, her role changes by the hour — processing payroll and invoicing one minute, fielding operational queries the next. Known for her ability to get stuck in and sort things out quickly, Mandy is a trusted go-to for both the team and the drivers on the ground.
What drives her is simple: trust, people, and a genuine love for the work — and the trucks. For Mandy, this isn’t just a job; it’s a passion that shows up in everything she does.
“I love that I’m trusted to do what I do best. We’ve got a great team, amazing gear, and no two days are ever the same.”

Julie brings over 30 years of experience in financial administration across a range of key Bay of Plenty industries, including chemicals, kiwifruit, food manufacturing, automotive, and land surveying. She joined Tranzliquid three years ago and quickly became an integral part of the business's day-to-day operations.
Her role includes managing all financial transactions, creditor payments, debtor follow-ups, financial forecasting, tax obligations, and reporting. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership, Julie ensures the financial systems stay accurate, efficient, and compliant.
What Julie values most is the variety in her role and the autonomy to manage her own workflow. She enjoys being part of a capable, down-to-earth team where practical thinking and mutual respect are part of the culture.

Jackie co-founded Tranzliquid in 2000 with Greg, blending her background in safety systems and hazardous substances with his experience in dangerous goods transport. From the very beginning, Jackie’s focus on compliance and risk management helped establish the strong safety culture that continues to guide Tranzliquid today.
Her career began as a Dangerous Goods inspector in her early twenties and expanded internationally as part of the Asia Pacific Distribution Safety team for DuPont. Her work conducting safety audits and building management systems across the region became the foundation for Tranzliquid’s own operational standards. Jackie has also held advisory roles in the defence sector, including a period as a hazardous substances advisor at the Devonport Naval Base.
Today, Jackie supports the leadership team and remains actively involved in the company’s compliance frameworks. She takes particular pride in Tranzliquid’s team culture — one built on shared values, mutual respect, and a high standard of care on the road and behind the scenes.
After years spent travelling and tackling extreme adventures, Jackie now enjoys the rhythm of life on a 10-acre property she shares with Greg — home to six horses, a few cattle, and one very settled cat.
“The people are what make Tranzliquid great. Every milestone we reach is thanks to a team who brings commitment and heart to everything they do — I feel incredibly proud every time I see one of our trucks on the road.”

Greg co-founded Tranzliquid in 2000 with his wife Jackie, combining decades of experience in dangerous goods transport and compliance. What began as a two-vehicle operation has grown into a respected independent logistics business, built on a commitment to service, safety, and doing things differently.
With more than 40 years in the industry — including 25 at the helm of Tranzliquid — Greg brings deep operational insight and a strong voice for better standards in transport. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (FCILT), a board member of Transporting New Zealand (TNZ), and actively involved in the Petroleum Industry Transport Safety Forum (PITSF).
Greg’s day-to-day role centres on team leadership and accountability. He believes in a flat management structure where everyone takes ownership and contributes to the culture of reliability that clients count on.
Outside of work, Greg has traded long-haul routes for back-country ones — enjoying life on a 10-acre block with Jackie, their horses, a few cattle, and a well-fed cat. He still reflects on the early vision for Tranzliquid: to deliver smarter fuel logistics through independence and innovation — a vision that continues to shape the company today.
“I’m incredibly proud of the team we’ve built and the values we’ve stood by. Tranzliquid isn’t just a company — it’s a community built on trust, purpose, and people who genuinely care about doing the job right.”
